The shirt worn, displayed ideals of the small girl's mouth.
Their insensitive shape revealed ewes of Gilead
Her fingers like legs cycling just above ground
Unto my annoyance, she illustrates her point,
But her words run like tap water,
And I am far from her.

Conversation lull, a new character arises
Self pulls externals
A laugh from the right - familiarity had called, had cared.
Her words searching true, searching silver, crying
for the insight currently unfound-
But I am her avoidance, and still,
I am far from her.

Like the cherishing of sin in one's heart
Like the ineffective prayer of the intentionally wicked
Like the one who allowed satan to hold his swiftfoot in one's heart
Was my slowsin, far from her, ready to grow
to resent
her

Oh Lord, will you forgive my heart?

I needed to say "I am hurt" and He comforted me.

How did she fall pregnant to start with?
Intellectual disability became her identity
When authority shoved her in that box.

My grace couldn't harness you.
I am human too.
Therefore, I give in and attend to my
Duty of care for your child, if only

Bub had a voice!
Basket of too-hard,
Will it land on my desk?
After our committee meetings, coffees, afternoon teas

And discussions puerile,
Under my breath, did I just mumble
That I no longer cared?
Is it my job to identify your strengths

Within frameworks of psychodynamic theories?
Let's be rational here, you are not victimised

And in my idealistic "creativity" will I mobilise you

Because I know the policies and services

Praise the Lord for tonight and this week. I have learned a lot, sinned many times, confessed only once! I rebuked a brother in Christ in love after dealing with my anger, nutted out the characteristics of the soul, sung unpassionately to my Lord who deserves so much more, and now catching you up on this sermon I heard on a Student Life camp, by the very fiery Earl Roberts who is in his 70s and whose flames are my inspiration....


The Person that God uses:

1. Has a heart that seeks Him.

2. Will be filled with the Holy Spirit

3. Has a teachable attitude

4. Spends time alone with God

5. Has the Bible as their message and method book

6. Evaluates everything in the light of his objectives

7. Will get involved with people

8. Will be a person of faith

Rom 7:17, Heb 11:1,6


Use us Lord. For your fame. Let us meet your mercy and grace. We want to change. Amen.
